We’ve already faced the Kasasiro boys back in October 2023 at the same MTN Omondi Stadium – Lugogo, coming out triumphant with a 2-0 win, courtesy of Rwothomio’s brace.

It was a masterclass from Mbalangu’s men as Mugalu and Ssesaazi turned providers, with Rwothomio on the receiving end to complete a fourth win in our first season.

We come into this match knowing that the Kasasiro boys will be out there seeking revenge on our home ground, which they too happily share, regardless of not having had many happy moments this season.

A look at KCCA

Regardless of the busy July transfer business, KCCA has struggled to get the desired, and perhaps expected, result, and they sit 9th with 23 points from a possible 54, averaging 1.28 points from their 18 games played this campaign.

After the departure of their former Portuguese Head Coach, they have had at least a pleasing mixture of results with notable wins over their arch-rivals Vipers, Villa, and Express. In the same spell, they had gone four home games without a loss and had just a draw against BUL until Kitara hit them in a 1-0 loss last Friday.

With Coach Abdulla Mubiru executing the kind of football philosophy the KCCA faithful love, we are poised for a good battle this evening under the flood lights.

After getting a concussion during our game against Mbarara City, Ssebaggala has resumed light training under the medics’ supervision as he begins his journey to full recovery.

Ssesaazi, Okocha, and Cromwel are also back in the squad for the upcoming fixture, having missed the Stanbic Uganda Cup fixture due to illness. The rest of the squad is in good shape, and we await who the head coach will assign the starting responsibility.
