We are delighted to announce that Ibrahim Kiyemba has signed a new contract with NEC FC, committing his long-term future to the club until 2028.
The dependable defender, who joined us in January 2024, has quickly established himself as one of the most reliable and consistent performers in our backline. This well-deserved extension is a reward to his unwavering commitment, outstanding attitude, and the full trust he has earned from our new head coach.
Speaking on Kiyemba’s renewal, Coach KB said: “It is important to reward those who play wholeheartedly for the club. Ibrahim is one of those exceptional players whose attitude is spot on, every day, every training session, every match. We’re excited to have him staying with us.”
This season, Kiyemba has been a true ever-present, clocking up 1350 minutes across 15 appearances in all competitions. Remarkably, he has started every single one of those games and has never been substituted off; proof of his durability, concentration, and sheer dependability when it matters most.
Beyond his defensive excellence, Ibrahim’s leadership qualities shine both on and off the pitch. As a key member of our leadership group, he has captained the side for much of the first round this season, guiding the team with composure and inspiration.
