NEC FC are delighted to announce the signing of talented midfielder Enock Tumwesigye, who joins the club on a four-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The highly rated midfielder arrives as a free agent from Kigezi Homeboyz FC, becoming the club’s first signing of the current transfer window as the Diehards continue to strengthen the squad for the upcoming campaign.
Tumwesigye joins NEC FC following an impressive spell with Kigezi Homeboyz, where he established himself as one of the team’s standout performers. During his time at the club, he made 40 competitive appearances, including 33 starts, while contributing eight goals and eight assists from midfield.
Prior to his stint at Kigezi Homeboyz, the gifted midfielder also featured for Nyamityobora FC and Kaaro Karungi FC, continuing his steady rise as one of the country’s promising midfield talents.
Known for his composure in possession, vision, creativity and ability to influence matches in the final third, Tumwesigye is expected to add quality, energy and depth to NEC FC’s midfield as the club prepares for another demanding campaign.
The midfielder has already linked up with his new teammates and is available for selection as NEC FC begin the 2026/27 season with the FUFA Super 8 tournament before turning their attention to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
