NEC FC visits URA FC at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo for the FUFA Super 8 semifinal, a single-leg match that will determine the finalist. The stadium, renowned for hosting our unbeaten home campaign throughout the 2024/25 season, where we did not lose a single match, sets the stage for a highly anticipated encounter against a formidable Isabirye Musongola’s URA FC. The game kicks off at 7PM with live broadcast on FUFA TV.
The Road to the Semifinals

NEC FC: We eliminated Express FC via the away goals rule after a 2-2 aggregate scoreline in a double-legged fixture. In the first leg at home, we lost 1-0, but we bounced back in the return leg with a 2-1 victory, thanks to goals from Kulanga Emmanuel and Kavuma Marvin. This secured our advancement on the away goals rule. We entered this tournament as the highest-ranked team after the StarTimes Uganda Premier League champions opted out due to an international engagement.
URA FC: The Tax Collectors progressed to the semifinals after defeating a newly reinforced Kitara FC. The first leg ended in a 2-1 victory for URA, followed by a goalless draw in the return leg. In the 2024/25 season, URA finished 4th with 52 points, while Kitara placed 7th with 44 points.

Head-to-Head Record
We have faced URA FC four times in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, securing two wins, one draw, and one loss. At MTN Omondi Stadium, we remain unbeaten against URA, winning both home games. However, we’ve struggled away, managing only a draw in the other two encounters. This evening marks our fifth meeting with URA and the third at MTN Omondi Stadium.
