The 24-year-old central midfielder, who joined us from SC Villa Jogoo during the January transfer window on a three-year deal, has wasted no time making his mark. In just a short time at the club, Tonny has formed an early, rock-solid partnership with Shamir Kimwero in the heart of the park. Together, they’ve given us real steel and control in midfield—exactly what we’ve needed to dictate games and protect our backline.
Today against Lugazi, Tonny delivered a classic box-to-box masterclass. From the opening whistle, he was everywhere: breaking up play, winning duels, driving forward with purpose, linking defense to attack, and covering every blade of grass. His energy, composure under pressure, and intelligent positioning were key in helping us maintain dominance after our early two-goal blitz. Even with a yellow card in the 71st minute for a tactical challenge, he stayed focused and continued to boss the engine room right until the final whistle.
This performance wasn’t a one-off, it’s why Tonny has now started five consecutive games for us.
