Yes, we are facing Vipers for the third time this season, but this time it is in the Uganda Cup. Our camp is going well. We believe that to be the best, you must compete against the best — and we are fully prepared for them. Everybody is in good shape.
…on how NEC has improved since the last time you faced Vipers this season
Badru Kaddu:
We have made a series of improvements in terms of our attitude and overall play. Recently, we have been very solid defensively — almost invincible — and we have not been conceding many goals. If we maintain that discipline and add goals at the other end, we are confident of putting up a very good performance.
…on the shape of the squad
Badru Kaddu:
Everybody is in good shape and ready. We have options when selecting the team, and because the squad is in good condition, we hope to field a strong side that will give us a positive result.
….on missing Ajo and Okao
Badru Kaddu:
Yes, Ajo and Oka are not back with the rest of the team. We will not miss them too much because we have capable replacements who have been performing well. We hope to show a different level from what we have displayed before.
….on what the competition means
Badru Kaddu:
As I always say, if you want to win this competition, you only need to play seven matches. We have about four games left. We will continue taking it step by step with the same focus and determination to achieve our objective.
