We return to the MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo this evening, looking to kick off the second round with great momentum as we host KCCA under the floodlights.

In our first encounter this season, when we paid them a visit, Mutyaba‘s 20-minute strike, after being set up by Paul Mucureezi, was the difference, securing us the much-needed three points. In that same spirit, we come back this evening looking forward to writing new records. A win this evening will make it the first time we have completed a double against the Lugogo-based club, and in just our second attempt.
Conscious of how the second round of last season went, head coach Hussein Mbalangu emphasized the need to defend well while utilizing our chances to avoid last season’s scenario of winning the first round and losing the second.
With the exception of Thembo and Kiyemba, we remain with a fully fit squad awaiting being named for the evening.
Watch here as the head coach spoke to the media.
New signings.
Ibrahim Musa:

Ibrahim Musa, from Onduparaka, has joined NEC FC and will be wearing shirt number 16. He is fully available for selection ahead of the second round.
Ibrahim Kasinde:

The electric Ibrahim Kasinde, who joined from S. Bright Stars, will be hoping to return to the pitch immediately after being off the scene for quite some time. The rising star has been training hard, putting in all the necessary energy and focus to earn Coach Mbalangu’s trust ahead of the second round.
Alpha Ssali:

Alpha Ssali, central to our January transfer, is also ready to get going. The young star joins us from Express on a two-year contract. The Proline academy graduate has his full focus on the second round and is very keen on taking seriously the instructions from the head coach as he looks to make his mark and stamp his authority at NEC FC while donning 29.
The game kicks off at 7 PM at the MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo, as we hope to make yet another positive record. It will be live on FUFA TV.
