31/01/2026 – NEC FC 0-0 Express FC
Our most recent meeting ended in a hard-fought stalemate. Under coach KB, this was a landmark game — our first clean sheet against Express and our first draw in this fixture. A clear sign of the defensive maturity the team has developed.

27/03/2025 – NEC FC 3-1 Express FC
A dominant home victory! Goals from Muzamiru Mutyaba, Paul Mucureezi, and Allan Mugalu secured the three points. Kavuma Marvin (Man of the Match) assisted the first two goals, while Mucureezi added an assist for the third. Express replied through Conrad Ssenjogera (assisted by John Asiimwe).

03/10/2024 – Express FC 2-1 NEC FC
A frustrating evening at Hamz Stadium! Express struck twice in nine minutes — Gaganga Geoffrey and Ronald Mawa Andabati (assisted by Richard Basangwa). Cromwel Rwothomio Abang (assisted by James Jarieko) gave us hope, but we couldn’t find and equalizer. Basangwa will face us again tonight. He was named Man of the Match that day.

A resilient away win! Enock Ssebagala (Man of the Match) opened the scoring from Odongo Gideon’s assist. Isaac Wagoina equalised from the penalty spot before Musa Ssali’s own goal handed NEC victory.

21/12/2023 – NEC FC 2-5 Express FC
Our heaviest defeat in the StarTimes era — a game we prefer not to remember. Cromwel Rwothomio (assisted by Farouq Ssekayi) scored in the 3rd minute, but Express ran riot with Isaac Wagoina (2), Emmanuel Alex Wasswa (2), and Steven Timothy Senfuma. Kiberu Tony scored our second in a painful 5-2 loss.

The KB Revolution

Coach KB wears a smile as he arrives for one of the matchdays at MTN Omondi Stadium – Lugogo.

Since KB took charge, we have been transformed. We currently sit on a 13-game unbeaten league run, keeping 10 clean sheets and failing to score in just 3 matches. The defence is solid, the attack is clinical, and confidence is high heading into tonight’s battle at Nakivubo.

This encounter!

Express will come out aggressive on home turf, especially with no need for extra motivation as they face their old boys in familiar threats like Richard Basangwa, Hakim Wandera, Kagawa Ssenoga, Kawawa who they know can cause problesm.

However, we arrive in strong form, determined to show how much progress has been made since that difficult night in December 2023. This is a big opportunity for the Diehards to pick up three crucial points away from home and keep the momentum going. Let’s go diehards — make some noise at Hamz Stadium tonight.
