What coaches say

Hussein Mbalangu:

On this fixture amidst changes at KCCA…

We are very focused and ready. The new coach has been there and the team remains KCCA and we have been preparing for KCCA a strong team that shouldn’t be underrated because of their poor start.

On whether there is pressure going into this fixture…

No.

On what this fixture means to the NEC FC squad…

It’s a very crucial fixture being our first time to play KCCA in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League and we are ready and prepared to give a good game so that fans can enjoy.

On what we should expect in this fixture….

We shall be very careful but also we have been monitoring them, we are

On the rotations in the squad…

We have the whole squad available besides Mato and Ismael so expect some changes.

Jackson Magero:

Our mentality is to see how the club can go away from that situation. We are trying as much as we can to see that players get well mentally, and physically, but more so tactically such that in our game against NEC we go prepared and acquire the result which is positive.

Well, NEC is a very fantastic team with good technical people but we are focused on our players and how best we can have them ready to get us the result that takes us out of this situation we are in.

Besides Shaban who is down with Malaria and our Captain who has just started light training we don’t have any other injuries.

This fixture is very important because we are looking for confidence, so absolutely important, and the only way to get the confidence in the fans, players, and us is to play and win that game, so that is the importance of that game; especially if we get positive results.

Don’t miss this showdown! It’s an opportunity to witness the emergence of a new rivalry and see which team will claim their first victory in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
