As the curtain falls on the 2025-26 season, NEC FC has been given the loudest vote of confidence yet. Six nominations at the Local Football Appreciation Awards. Six different individuals. One powerful message, this club is building something special, both on and off the pitch.

At the heart of it all is our CEO, Mr. Okorotum Jonathan, nominated for the prestigious Edgar Watson Ssubi Award as The LFA CEO of the Year. While leading NEC through our first-ever CAF Confederations Cup campaign, he made sure the club met every deadline and requirement without a single fine or complication, a remarkable achievement for a club only in its third top-flight season.

That level of preparation and foresight is why he stands among the best administrators in the country. You can vote for Mr. Okorotum Jonathan https://lfaawards.com/edgar-watson-suubi-award-lfa-football-chief-executive-officer-of-the-year/

Between the sticks, Hannington Ssebuwalunyo has been nothing short of a rock. Since Coach KB arrived, his leadership has soared. He has kept 17 clean sheets, scored 2 goals making him the only goalkeeper in Uganda to do so this season, and showed true captain’s courage in the Uganda Cup, saving and scoring a penalty against SC Vipers. Nominated for the Majid Musisi Award as Men’s Player of the Year, “The Wall” has been our captain and our hero.
