Coach KB makes five bold and tactical adjustments to the last starting XI as we take on SC Villa this evening.
Under the floodlights of the FUFA Stadium – Kadiba, we gear up for a fierce Uganda Premier League clash against the historic Jogoo. Coach Kaddu Badru has rung the changes to inject fresh energy, bolster the backline, and unleash more creativity upfront. These adjustments balance our defensive solidity with attacking flair, ensuring we’re connected and ready to play our new way. Here’s how we line up in our flexible 4-2-1-3
Goalkeeper:
19. Hannington Ssebwalunyo – Back between the sticks after a strong showing in training, during the international break replacing Samson Kiirya.
Defenders:
6. Kiyemba Ibrahim (RB) – Shifted to the right flank, taking over from Geriga Atendele who is out injured for at least the next 4-6 weeks after that knock in our encounter against BUL FC.
3. Warren Buule (CB) – A new face in the heart of defense, bringing dominance and composure after recovering from that hamstring injury suffered in Kenya.
17. Gideon Odongo (CB) – Retained and pairing with a Buule and to the left in the Central Defence role.
12. Mustafa Kizza (LB) – Our reliable left-back stays put, ready to overlap and deliver like he knows best to.
Midfielders:
13. Kimwero Shamiru (DM) – The single pivot holds firm, anchoring the engine room.
5. Shabene (CM/8) – The lad earns his full debut, in for Kulanga Emmanuel, his box-to-box dynamism allows him drop deep to shield or surge forward to link play.
8. Kavuma Marvin © (CAM) – Our captain moves central from the wing (replacing Allan Mugalu), orchestrating with vision and set-piece threat.
Forwards:
11. Waibi Charles (LW) – A fresh injection on the left, adding width and trickery.
9. Cromwel Rwothomio (CW) – Steps in for Hudson Mbalire as the focal point, leading the search for goals after recovering from injury.
20. Dhata Joseph (RW) – Retained for his speed and directness to stretch the Villa defense. Come on, you Diehards! Let’s get those three points.
